Recognizing Excellence in Sustainable Design and Construction Across Connecticut
BuildGreenCT is proud to announce the project award winners of the 2026 Green Building Impact Awards, recognizing excellence in sustainable design and construction across Connecticut and beyond. Award recipients will be honored from 5:00-8:30pm on May 20, 2026, at the Glastonbury Boathouse.
“This year’s project award winners reflect the incredible momentum we’re seeing across Connecticut and the region to raise the bar for high-performance building,” said BuildGreenCT Executive Director Alicia Dolce. “We applaud the project owners and teams whose leadership and collaboration are bringing these buildings to life; creating healthier spaces, strengthening communities, and advancing a more equitable built environment.”
The awards span multiple categories representing the breadth of Connecticut’s built environment, from housing and education to cultural and commercial spaces.

The Award of Excellence, the program’s highest recognition, was awarded to the Living Village at Yale Divinity School, New Haven, CT (Bruner/Cott Architects) The Living Village represents a paradigm shift in how institutions can embody their values through architecture. More than a residence hall, this 45,000-square-foot building on 4.3 acres houses approximately 50 graduate students and families while pursuing Living Building Challenge (LBC) 4.0 certification, the world’s most rigorous performance standard for the built environment. As Connecticut’s largest residential project designed to achieve LBC requirements, it demonstrates that regenerative design is achievable at an institutional scale. The Living Village uses transformative design to advance Connecticut’s leadership in sustainable building and provide a scalable model for climate resiliency, resource efficiency, and cross-industry collaboration.
