Education & Events

EDUCATION FOR ALL
This is the core of our organization and a successful sustainable movement.

Our Programming

Our programs are for people with myriad backgrounds and provide support and resources to everyone from the uninitiated to the expert:

  • Programs on a wide span of green building topics including project tours and webinars. These programs help illuminate science-based design and advanced construction techniques through the lens of different green building and high-performance standards.
  • Our Green Building Awards program recognizes excellence in intelligently designed and constructed high-performance buildings and sustainable sites and landscapes that also promote health, well-being, comfort, and equitable access.
  • Our Northeast Summit for a Sustainable Built Environment (NESSBE) is a unique conference that engages a broad community of building professionals, owners, academics, policymakers, advocates, and students in conversations about energy and environmental justice in the built environment.

We support professional Continuing Education with:

  • A growing library of on-demand training available to all on Passive House, LEED, electrification, and other high-performance design and construction principles;
  • Webinars on a variety of instructional topics;
  • Recordings from past NESSBE conferences.
