Elliot Glassman, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C is an architect specializing in environmentally sustainable design. He obtained his Bachelors of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and earned a Masters of Design Studies degree with a concentration in sustainability from the Harvard GSD. Elliot currently serves as the firm-wide Building Performance Group Leader at CannonDesign where he partners with design and technical leadership to promote decarbonization strategies and high-performance building concepts for all projects. His work incorporates a variety of building simulation tools with parametric design techniques in order to generate sustainable solutions in terms of passive building design responses and the successful integration of advanced HVAC technologies.
Elliot has practiced architecture in New York City, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv, and is licensed in New York State and Connecticut. He has worked on several types of projects including multi‐family residential, mixed‐use buildings, commercial, religious/institutional, medical, athletics, and hospitality. Elliot is accredited in both LEED and Passive House standards. He has taught courses related to environmentally responsive design at City Tech, Pratt Institute, Columbia University, and Carnegie Mellon University.
In addition to serving on the board, Elliot is a member of the Mayor’s Climate Council in Stamford, CT.
