Kate Klein

Executive Director

Kate is the Programs & Communications Coordinator at BuildGreenCT. After starting her non-profit journey at the Guilford Art Center, and continuing as a Research Fellow at the Witness Stones Project, she completed her undergraduate Political Science degree at Central CT State University, after spending the first 2.5 years at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

She is a passionate advocate for social justice and seeks to create meaningful change through her work. Kate first found BuildGreenCT after a chat with her former neighbor, Alicia Dolce, Kate was, and still is, inspired by BuildGreenCT’s mission to accelerate the just and sustainable transformation of Connecticut’s built environment.

As Programs & Communications Coordinator she works with Program Hosts, Presenters, and Sponsors to bring you the compelling program that you’re so familiar with!

When she’s not working, you can catch her in the pottery studio, tagging horseshoe crabs, compiling information about this year’s legislative session for the Advocacy & Equity Committee, or photosynthesizing in the sun.
