Membership
BuildGreenCT is a membership-based nonprofit organization working to raise awareness, promote green building design and construction, and advocate for high-performance and healthy energy-efficient buildings at state and local levels.
Your membership helps support our mission to offer high quality programming, including building tours and special events and also, work at scale, to effect change through advocacy.

Our Members
Our members are a community of passionate people with a desire to make an impact by helping transform the built environment through their involvement.
We have a rich history of diverse members, people with different backgrounds and levels of knowledge and experience.
Anyone with an interest in accelerating the just and sustainable transformation of the built environment is invited to become a member and become a part of this vibrant and growing community.
Two Types of Membership
Individual Membership
Open to anyone with an interest in energy efficient, healthy sustainable buildings and places. While many of our members are practitioners or professionals with green building experience (LEED, Passive House, etc), you do not need to have any credentials to join our organization.
Company Membership
Open to smaller companies or firms with twenty employees or less, and includes all of the benefits of membership listed below for two individuals, plus your company logo featured in our membership directory.
Please note membership with BuildGreenCT does not include memberships with national or international organizations, nor vice versa. E.g. U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), International Passive House Association (iPHA), Phius, International Living Future Institute (ILFI), etc.

Already a member with Connecticut Green Building Council or Connecticut Passive House?
If you are a dues-paying member of either or both organizations, your membership will become a single BuildGreenCT membership, with an option to renew at the furthest expiration point of either of those memberships.

- Volunteer by joining a committee, taskforce, or action team.
- Play an active role in Connecticut’s sustainability movement by promoting smart climate strategies at the state level, shaping energy policies and building codes.
