Course Objectives:
- Identify the specific sections and provisions within the 2024 IECC that directly impact residential buildings, including updates related to insulation, air sealing, and mechanical systems
- Compare and contrast the energy performance requirements and standards outlined in the 2021 and 2024 editions of the code, focusing on changes in performance metrics and compliance pathways
- Apply code-compliant insulation practices by identifying minimum insulation requirements
- Calculate the required Energy Rating Index (ERI) score reduction necessary for buildings following the ERI compliance pathway compared to Table R406.5 standards as outlined in the code
