August’s Spotlight Tour was a powerful opportunity for BuildGreenCT Company Member, TAMA Architects to inspire others on what’s possible while showcasing their expertise through one of their green building projects. Last month’s tour invited roughly 30 attendees to explore a mid-construction pre-certified passive house, striving to push beyond the boundaries of high-performance to pursue additional sustainability goals.
This tour also included an in-depth discussion with the project design team & owner. Each member of the expansive design team shared their contributions to the rainwater collection system, bio-based insulation, and low embodied concrete. Additionally, attendees enjoyed an informative deep-dive into several solutions which brought the owner’s vision to life; Perfect Block ICFs, Croft Group Inc. straw panels, and Glavel concrete-free slabs.
