Tell us about your company.

TimberHP is the first manufacturer of high-performance wood fiber insulation in America, offering a safe, scalable, renewable alternative to conventional insulation for healthier, more resilient buildings.

What is your role in sustainability?

We replace fossil-fuel-intensive insulation with wood fiber made from regional waste wood chips. Powered by renewable energy, our products are non-toxic, recyclable, and vapor-open—supporting healthy interiors and moisture-smart assemblies. We’re redefining what building materials can do—lowering embodied carbon while delivering performance, comfort, durability, and affordability.

Project Spotlight

Belden House & Mews, a newly restored boutique hotel in Litchfield, CT, selected TimberHP’s wood fiber batt insulation for its thermal and acoustic performance. Installed throughout the 1959 Mews addition, TimberBatt supports occupant comfort and quiet, while aligning with Belden’s commitment to thoughtful, climate-conscious design.

What motivates you?

Our mission is to provide affordable, high-performance insulation that’s good for people, buildings, and the planet.

We’re motivated by the urgency of climate change and inspired by the tradespeople, architects, and developers who are building a better future. Every batt, board, and bag we ship represents another step toward a healthier, lower-carbon built environment.

Fun Fact

We turned a shuttered paper mill into a state-of-the-art insulation facility—reviving a historic site, creating Maine manufacturing jobs, and proving that clean tech and legacy industry can go hand in hand.
