BuildGreenCT is in an exciting period of growth and transition.
We are a trusted voice for green buildings in the State of Connecticut and are at an all hands on deck to meet this moment as we have limited time to transform our built environment to avoid the most devastating effects of climate change.
We want to authentically engage everyone with the desire to serve. As a nonprofit, we rely on the commitment and expertise of our members to help plan and shape our events, educate on green building practices, advocate for green building policy, and more.
Whether you have a passion, a specific skill, or a general interest to “plug in”, there are many opportunities to volunteer:
Events
Help plan and organize educational and networking events.
IT/Technology
If you like data and technology, we welcome volunteers to help us leverage our CRM and digital marketing solutions to maximize member and community engagement, outreach, etc.
Marketing & Communications
If you are savvy with social media or enjoy writing, you can make an impact by being part of our social media or newsletter teams.
Grants
If you enjoy writing and/or using data to tell a story, this is a great way to volunteer and help support our mission.
Membership
Volunteer to help us maximize member outreach and engagement, including our new Member Showcase series.
Sponsorship
Help us shine a spotlight on companies who are helping to transform the built environment through technology, products, services, etc. by volunteering on this committee.
Finance
If you enjoy long term planning and are good with numbers and reading financial statements, this is a great volunteer opportunity. Hint: Business owners are well-suited to serve on the Finance Committee.
Governance
If you have experience serving on other Boards or are interested in learning more about what makes nonprofits successful, this is a great place to volunteer.
